About Us (me, for now)

Hi — I'm William.

William Karol Di Cioccio. Nineteen, twenty soon. Italian, self-taught, and building CodeXX DTDK largely on my own — for now.

I started programming when I was 13, and I've been self-taught the whole way. These days I work as a Flutter developer and UX/UI designer for an American company — good work — but it isn't where my heart is.

My heart has always been with C++. I grew up watching The Cherno, and I'm not ashamed to say I'm emotionally attached to the language. I find the core language genuinely elegant and easy to reason about; and its low-level control and deep integration with the platforms it runs on — all the legacy it carries included — make me feel powerful, free to build whatever I want. Maybe it's simply that C++ was the first language I ever truly picked up. Either way, CodeXX is a love letter to it.

CodeXX is the project my day job doesn't leave room for — so I make the room.

Doing this solo means being deliberate about where my time goes: test-driven from the start, tooling that dogfoods itself, and modern tools used aggressively so a one-person effort can move at the scale the idea deserves. (More on exactly how, and where the lines are drawn, on the On AI page.)

"For now" is doing a lot of work in that heading. The ambition is bigger than one person — but everything you see here started with one, and I'd rather build it honestly and in the open than pretend otherwise.

If any of this resonates and you'd like to help keep the CI green, you can throw a coffee — or a CI run — my way.
